About the role
We’re looking for an Electrical & Infrastructure Supervisor to optimise the extraction of the Federation resource through safe, efficient and cost-effective mining and maintenance operations. Ensuring all aspects of the site electrical system meets current electrical standards and that the site electrical infrastructure performs as expected resulting from due diligence design and preventative maintenance. You will also be responsible to ensure timely construction of site infrastructure projects within the scope and budgets.

Location: Nymagee (NSW)
Key responsibilities
* Complete hazard reviews and be involved in risk assessments for new plant & equipment/processes, variations to existing plant or processes, shutdowns, projects, and major works.
* Ensure a high safety standard is met for electrical installations and electrical works including all necessary permits and standard are met or exceeded.
* Report and lead investigations of electrical incidents or dangerous occurrences involving electricity and electrical infrastructure.
* Maintain positive relationship with external electrical stakeholders including contractors and third party electrical contractors.
* Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders including trades contractors and third party contractors.
* Ensure electrical compliance is maintained and upgraded as required by the Electrical Engineering Control Plan (EECP) and all relative Australian standards. I.e.: AS3000
* Keep informed sites Statutory electrical engineer of any changes or upcoming work related to electrical and liaise with engineer to ensure all statuary functions are carried.
* Assist maintenance planners with creation and updating of plant item safety files, PM tasks, store stock inventory management etc.
* Assist managing and reviewing of costs with the site departments and provide input into the annual budgets.
* Assist site electricians with breakdown tasks as required.
* Ensure all work carried out in relation to electrical equipment and installations across site is adequately supervised either directly or through contractors (Redpath).
* Lead and manage site-based infrastructure projects that may include surface additions or improvements, underground infrastructure setups, processing improvements and water management.
* Supervise and Manage contractors for key projects, write and scope tenders as required.
* Assist with sourcing and procurement of critical spares, equipment, parts, and labour (in line with site procurement policy) for electrical plant tasks.
* Keep informed all relevant employees of new work methods and procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies, electrical codes and standards
Perform leading indicator inspections and audits across all site departments.
Qualifications and experience
* Electrical trades certificate
* High Voltage Switching
* First aid course
* Good Management, Communication and Leadership Skills
* Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
* Prior use of maintenance planning (Pronto) and/or mine design software desirable
* Well organised and able to meet deadlines
* Ability to problem solve in a timely fashion and step up and lead projects when needed
* Demonstrated commitment and safety focus to coach individuals to increase skills and safety awareness
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
