About the Role
As a key member of our culinary team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests and exceed expectations. From à la carte service to buffets and event catering, you'll contribute to a dynamic, collaborative kitchen environment—ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective kitchen operations at every step.
You will be responsible for food preparation, quality control, team mentoring, and helping drive the resort's culinary vision.
What You'll Do
* Prepare and present dishes to consistently high standards of quality and taste
* Strive for perfection in every dish, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable dining experience
* Work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced culinary team
* Assist with catering for events and special functions, collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure all events meet the specified catering requirements
* Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative seasonal menus and offerings
* Mentor and support junior chefs, fostering their development in food preparation and presentation
* Oversee kitchen operations, including food ordering, stock take, inventory control, and minimizing food waste
* Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
We're Looking For
* Passion for culinary innovation, quality food, and creating an outstanding guest experience
* At least 1 year experience in a similar role, with a total of 3+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Have a strong understanding of kitchen operations, from food prep to managing staff
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and presentation
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and events
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Be proactive, solution-focused, and committed to maintaining high standards in food quality and kitchen hygiene
