**Job Description:**
The classroom teacher is a dynamic and experienced educator responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating effective learning programs for students in Foundation to Year Six. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student outcomes and be able to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs.
* Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
* Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor/coach other teachers to improve their skills and knowledge.
* Contribute to the development of school policies, programs and priorities that promote academic excellence and student well-being.
* Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Completed an accredited initial teacher education program (for Australian postgraduate initial teaching program or study on or after 1 January 2014).
* Victorian ITE graduates after 1 July 2017 must also satisfy the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements.
