As our client's sole payroller, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll for 275 staff—trusted, valued, and empowered to make a difference.Our client, a specialist service organisation, is seeking a energetic and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their HR team. 
This is a stand-alone Payroll Advisor, responsible for end-to-end functions for 275 staff. 
While the role is stand-alone, you will have support and coverage from the broader members of the HR function.ResponsibilitiesProcess multiple payroll cycles across fortnightly and monthly frequencies using ADP systemProvide customer-focused support and guidance to employees on payroll-related inquiriesPartner with HR to offer practical advice and assistance on payroll compliance, award interpretation, and onboardingIdentify and resolve payroll discrepancies with a solutions-oriented approachEnsure accuracy in payroll transactions, reporting, and statutory obligationsQualificationsCert IV or Diploma in Payroll, HR or Business Administration - not mandatoryRequired SkillsDemonstrated ability to manage complex payroll processes independently and efficientlyStrong customer service ethos with a responsive and empathetic communication styleStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide feedback on detailed payroll and superannuation enquiriesFamiliarity with ADP systems (preferred)Understanding of payroll legislationProven planning and prioritisation skillsWillingness to learn and support broader HR initiatives, including systems, reporting and complianceKeen attention to detail and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvementPart-time consideration: 4 days a week if operationally appropriateBenefitsIn return for your expertise, you will join a warm team with plenty of incentives (onsite parking, gym membership, cake days – you name it!).
