Dental Assistants/Receptionists – Full-Time | Geelong & Torquay
About the Role: As a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, you'll play a key role in clinical treatment and day-to-day operations. You'll provide quality chairside and administrative support to clinicians, maintain high standards of infection control, and engage with patients in a positive and professional manner. Your strong organisational skills will help ensure efficient workflows, excellent patient experiences, and the ongoing success of the practice.
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays optional.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
* Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
* Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
* Sterilise instruments and maintain infection control standards
* Take and process x-rays (if qualified)
* Record and update clinical notes
* Monitor and maintain stock and supplies
Reception Duties
* Greet patients and manage enquiries professionally
* Schedule and confirm appointments
* Process payments, Medicare, and HICAPS claims
* Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality
* Coordinate daily schedules with clinicians
* Keep reception area tidy and welcoming
About You
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (desirable)
* Minimum 1 year of dental assisting and dental reception experience
* Knowledge of Dental 4 Windows (desirable)
