About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Seamstress/Customer Service professional to join our dynamic team at RAAF Swartz Barracks in Oakey.
This full-time role involves performing clothing alterations and repairs while ensuring excellent customer service.
As a Seamsperson/Customer Service team member, you'll be at the heart of our operations, where your love for sewing and helping others will shine.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Perform seamsperson tasks including sewing rank badges, medals and insignias
* Perform basic clothing alterations such as hemming
* Take tailoring measurements of customers
* Provide customer service and use POS systems – experience with EFTPOS, barcode scanners is beneficial
* Assist clients & customers by outfitting and kitting of clothing
* Maintain accurate work order records
* General clothing stores duties including inventory management
What We're Looking For:
* A passion for sewing and a desire to learn more
* Experience with hand stitching or sewing machines is a plus, but not mandatory
* A friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong customer service skills
* Basic computer skills, including experience with EFTPOS, barcode scanners and POS systems
* A current licence and reliable transport (Required)
* You must be eligible to hold a Defence baseline security clearance. As a result, you must be an Australian Citizen.
