Job Description:
Design and Implement Infrastructure Requirements
* Develop and execute infrastructure strategies to meet future demand
* Provide expert technical guidance for project build, test, and solution deployment activities
* Maintain documentation including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures
* Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and change initiatives
* Participate in change management processes and communicate configuration change implications
* Offer specialist technical advice, including strategic guidance, to senior executives
* Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and provide mentorship and training
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations on product suitability
* Collaborate with other agencies and service providers to enhance service delivery capabilities
* Represent the organization at interagency meetings and forums
* Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and manage change while contributing to ICT strategy
Requirements:
Key Qualifications:
* At least five years of experience in designing, managing, and maintaining large-scale internet gateway and data centre networking environments
* Proven experience in designing services utilizing Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems
* Experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure including Cisco Data Centre technologies such as ACI, routers, nexus switches, and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
* Demonstrated expertise in Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions
* Experience in designing and implementing VPN technologies, email, and DNS (Infoblox) solutions
* Experience in designing and integrating hybrid and public cloud services
* Ability to develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation
* Knowledge of Australian Government information security policies and the ASD Information Security Manual
