Responsibilities
* Assisting the Catering Stores Manager with all food and non-food related ordering
* Receive, record and store all deliveries in accordance with the Food Safety Plan
* Monitoring stock to ensure only approved goods are received and any irregularities are rectified
* Ensure stock rotation and complete monthly stock takes
* Accurate ordering in line with patient occupancy
* Maintain relationships with key suppliers
* Be proactive towards waste management
* Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized work area
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role within a large scale fast paced environment
* Ability to work autonomously and self manage your time effectively
* Forward planner, problem solver with strong communication skills
* Strong focus on managing budgets
* Knowledge of food ingredients and specification
* Basic food handler's certificate
Highly regarded / Desirable
* Previous qualified chef with experience in hospitality or healthcare sector
* Food Safety Certificate
