We are seeking a reliable and skilled catering assistant to join our team, providing top-notch catering support in a dynamic environment. The catering assistant will collaborate closely with clinical and care teams to ensure the delivery of nutritious meals and snacks for residents.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and/or previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, aged care, or similar industry. Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and mornings or afternoons is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the preparation and service of meals to elderly residents
* Maintaining cleanliness of service areas and dining room setup
* Complying with workplace health and safety standards
* Washing dishes in the kitchen and prepping ingredients
* Setting tables and assisting with plating of meals
* Providing support to chefs as needed in day-to-day tasks
