About the role
As a Mentor, you will guide customers through tailored pre‐employment and job‐readiness activities, delivered both individually and in group settings. You will play a key role in building their skills, confidence, and motivation, coordinating a range of activities that support them to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
To enjoy being aMentor, you will have:
* Relevant life experience or a demonstrated understanding of the barriers to education/employment experienced by people on Income Support
* A track record in engaging customers, using active listening techniques to identify goals, strengths and obstacles to success
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with community service providers, community networks and employment services
* Skills to coach and mentor customers to achieve goals and plans
* Excellent communication skills and experience in maintaining electronic records
* Qualifications in a relevant field would be desirable.
