Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator
About the Role:
The Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking an experienced finance professional to fill the role of Financial Operations Coordinator. This position will provide support to the Manager Financial Services and work closely with a high-performing leadership team to deliver robust financial services across the organisation.

* Main Responsibilities:
* General Financial Reporting
* Asset Accounting
* Statutory Reporting
* Manage Inventory Systems
* Oversee General Taxation Activities
* Monitor Council Treasury
* Policy Development and Implementation
* Assist internal and external auditors
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Demonstrated experience working in a similar finance role
* Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements
* Knowledge of accounting standards
* Demonstrated experience in the use of financial systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to learn, problem solve and contribute to a highly collaborative environment
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline are essential
