About the Role
The Senior Operations Integration Engineer supports both operational planning teams and Technical Services, ensuring their work, data, and outputs are aligned, consistent, and high quality. You will coach and mentor operational planners, assist in technical reviews, and contribute to medium- and long-term strategic planning. The role also supports due diligence and feasibility studies while driving continuous improvement across all Norton Gold Fields operations.
Duties
* Lead operational investigations and support business improvement initiatives across all NGF sites.
* Support and coach operational planning teams to improve capability, standards, and technical outputs.
* Assist with due diligence studies and feasibility assessments for future open pit projects.
* Prepare and report on long-term schedules, mining studies, and major project evaluations.
* Develop mine designs, infrastructure layouts, and optimisation analyses.
* Build business cases including data collation, reporting, and approval documentation.
* Support budget preparation, cost modelling, and performance reporting.
* Identify optimisation opportunities and future operational improvements.
* Facilitate smooth information transfer between Technical Services, Operations, and Senior Management.
* Participate in safety meetings and promote strong safety culture.
* Report hazards and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
* Perform other duties as required.
About You
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
* WA C-class Driver's Licence (essential).
* First Aid (desirable).
* First Class Mine Manager or Quarry Manager Certificate (desirable).
* Bilingual English/Chinese highly regarded.
* Experience in mining feasibility studies.
Skills & Experience
* Strong knowledge of open-pit mining operations, planning, and engineering.
* Understanding of geology, mining methods, production technology and equipment.
* Competent in performance reporting, cost analysis, and optimisation studies.
* Familiar with WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
* Proficient in MS Office; Deswik experience advantageous.
* Capable of mentoring and developing junior or operational planning staff
