The opportunity
Sunraysia Radiology is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team in Mildura, VIC. This full-time role is an integral part of our busy healthcare practice, providing exceptional administrative and customer service support.
Key responsibilities
* Greet and welcome patients, handle patient inquiries and bookings with professionalism and empathy
* Manage the patient flow, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring efficient patient check-in and check-out processes
* Provide administrative support to the medical team, such as managing correspondence and data entry
* Liaise with healthcare providers, insurers, and other external stakeholders as required
* Maintain a high level of confidentiality and data security at all times
* Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the medical practice
What we're looking for
* At least 2 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar customer service role in a healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
* Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office software
* Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality customer service and contributing to a positive team environment
* Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations would be an advantage
