As a Trainee Detailer, you will learn the fundamentals of steel detailing while contributing to real projects in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role provides a clear pathway for skill development and career progression within the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings and plans for steel frame and truss structures
* Learn to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
* Work closely with senior detailers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Utilise industry-specific detailing and drafting software
* Participate in structured training and hands-on project work
* Support the team with project documentation, records, and general administration
About You
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
* Basic understanding of engineering or construction drawings (desirable but not essential)
* Confident computer skills; exposure to CAD or detailing software is an advantage
* A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in the steel or construction industry
