We're currently seeking two Casual Retail Store Supervisors and 1 Retail Supervisor who can bring energy, creativity, and heart to our stores.
The Retail Store Supervisor will work across any of our eight locations (Glenorchy, Warrane, Rosny, Sorell, City, Moonah, Kingston, and Huonville) according to a pre-planned roster.
The Retail Supervisor role will work across all areas of Hobart City Mission Retail operations consisting of retail stores, transport and sorting warehouse. This position involves supporting daily store operations as well as assisting the transport team with donation pick-ups, sorting and deliveries.
Reporting to the Retail Coordinator you will:
* Open and close the retail store and manage the POS system
* Provide a positive focus on excellent customer service, and sales outcomes
* Provide a keen eye for current trends/style, and have the ability to pull all those skills together to create an exciting, vibrant, and on-trend space for customers to shop
* Process donated stock, redirecting away from landfill
* Supervise and train volunteers, ensuring they receive proper induction and feel supported and mentored
About you:
* Previous retail experience including using a POS and cash handling
* Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
* Previous supervision or team leader experience
* Understanding of second-hand/circular economy/ Op Shop industry practices
* Manual handling knowledge and ability to lift at least 15kg
* Knowledge, experience and understanding of volunteer management (desirable)
