About the role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Trade Assistant/Carpenter to join our team at LVLEDUP Pty Ltd in Perth, WA. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced carpenters in the construction and installation of high-quality cabinets, furniture and other woodworking projects
What you'll be doing
1. Use of your existing knowledge to work on and complete jobs
2. Safely operating power tools and hand tools
3. Measuring, marking and preparing materials according to specifications/plans
4. Assisting with the installation of cabinets, bathroom fitouts, flooring, decks and small to medium size renovations
5. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
6. Following all safety protocols and procedures
What we're looking for
1. Passion for carpentry and woodworking with some prior experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar role. Ideal candidate should not be limited to just carpentry and willing to undertake/learn other trades skills to complete renovation projects
2. Minimum of 2+ years of carpentry or woodworking experience required
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to specifications
4. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
5. Familiarity with the use of power tools and hand tools
6. A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transportation
7. C Class (car licence) driver's licence is required
8. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
9. Australian citizenship is required for this position
