Deckhand with Coxswain (NC1)

About the role
Applications are being sought for a Deckhand position on our vessels out of Port Douglas. Working across our day boats and overnight on our offshore maintenance vessel as required.
Reporting to the Marine Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:
* Daily preparation and ongoing maintenance of our vessels and pontoon
* Operation of small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers
* Delivery of reef interpretive commentary
* Providing a high level of customer service to our guests
* Ensuring customer and staff safety is maintained at all times
* Safely handling ropes, lines and fenders
* Assisting other crewmembers as required
About you
* Applicants require a minimum qualification of Coxswains NC1
* Master 5 – Desirable
* Provide First Aid certification
* Competency in rope handling and docking of vessels
* Ability to effectively communicate and work well in a small team environment
* Divemaster qualification or higher (required to conduct underwater vessel maintenance duties such as hull scrubs and window cleaning) – Desirable
