Load Allocator / Coordinator (multiple shifts available)

DJ Wightman & Co Pty Ltd has been providing Transport & Logistics solutions to the Refrigerated Transport Industry for over 60 years. Throughout this time, we have maintained strong long-term relationships with some of Australia's leading supermarket chains and food manufacturers.
One significant component of our business is our South Australian Transport contract for a major supermarket chain, delivering between 500 – 600 loads per week to metro and regional locations. Our operations are underpinned by a strong team culture focused on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

About the role:
Due to continued growth within our business, we are seeking individuals with a proactive and organised Load Allocator / Coordinator background to join our team in Edinburgh Parks, SA.
This role is responsible for the effective daily coordination of our fleet, ensuring deliveries are allocated efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service and compliance.

Main responsibilities:
* Frontline Management / Supervision of Local and Regional Drivers on shift.
* BFM and fatigue management of Driver pool – Utilisation of EWD system.
* Allocate and coordinate daily transport loads across our fleet.
* Monitor and track vehicle movements to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
* Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and operational teams to resolve any issues that may arise.
* Ensure all loads are allocated in line with customer delivery windows and company compliance standards.
* Maintain accurate records in our transport management systems.
* Liaise with the maintenance team to ensure vehicle availability aligns with allocation plans and fleet remains Safe & Compliant.
* Support the operations team in achieving KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:
* Experience in a similar load allocation, scheduling, or coordination role within the transport industry.
* Strong understanding of transport compliance, fatigue management, and operational requirements.
* High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with drivers, customers, and team members.
* Proficient computer skills with experience using transport management systems, Manhattan desirable but not essential, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
* Knowledge of refrigerated transport operations is desirable but not essential.
