About The Role
As a Social Worker at the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre, you'll work alongside a committed team to improve the welfare and wellbeing of individuals in detention. Reporting to the Senior Social Worker, you will:
* Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based assessments and care plans
* Ensure compliance with legislation, ethical standards and internal policies
* Promote access to culturally appropriate support services
* Respond professionally to emergencies and incidents
* Maintain accurate case documentation and meet reporting deadlines
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment

Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work (AASW eligibility required)
* First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
* Valid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
* Experience in complex case assessment, care planning and intervention
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to ethical conduct and workplace safety
