About this Position:
We are excited to invite applications for an Industrial Electrician to join our highly skilled and supportive Water and Wastewater team. The Industrial Electrician will deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical services that support the operation, maintenance and optimisation of Councils water, wastewater and waste treatment infrastructure. This will include maintaining and installing electrical systems, instrumentation, and control technologies critical to the delivery of essential services.

What we trust you to deliver:
* Electrical Maintenance and Installation: Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across Council's water, wastewater and waste infrastructure and as required across the Water, Waste and Open Spaces Directorate.
* Instrumentation and Control Systems: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems including SCADA, telemetry, and PLC's. Support the optimisation of treatment processes through accurate monitoring and control of electrical systems.
* Preventative and Reactive Maintenance: Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to unplanned faults or breakdowns. Ensure timely and effective resolution of electrical issues to maintain service continuity.
* Work Planning and Coordination: Collaborate and assist in the planning and coordination of daily tasks. Support supervisors in scheduling, prioritising work and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Customer and Stakeholder interaction: Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Provide updates on works and respond to service requests or incidents as required.
What you will need to be successful:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
* Current NSW Electrical Contractors Licence (NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate)
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Desirable:
* Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and/or Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation
* Telemetry and SCADA systems training or certification
