The role
Hands-on garden maintenance and enhancement across established sites. You’ll work in a small team with modern equipment and sensible schedules, backed up by our admin and sales teams. Flexible start date. Responsibilities include:
- Typical garden maintenance tasks, e.g. lawn care, pruning/hedging, planting, mulching, weed control, fertilising, irrigation checks, and periodic soft-landscaping.
- Accurately track job completion and timings (via app).
- Communicate with the office to provide client/job updates and flag any matters that need attention.
- Ensure work meets company standards and assess garden requirements for ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
- Provide a friendly point of contact for clients on site, answering queries and referring enquiries/requests to the office as appropriate. Most client contact is handled by our office team.
- Identify potential garden issues, and adjust job sheets accordingly.
- Have a general understanding of the tools and machinery used and identify pre-safety checks and maintenance required before use.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Proven experience in gardening/horticulture or landscape maintenance
- Competent with common equipment (whipper snippers, mowers, blowers, hedgers)
- Eye for detail and plant health
- Safe, tidy work habits
- Current driver’s licence (manual preferred)
- Cert III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens or comparable experience
- Must pass a Criminal History Check
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card, First Aid qualifications, Chain Saw Accreditation, and ACDC licence
- Must have the right to work in Australia
