Six Degrees is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join a government department based in Toowoomba. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of construction, maintenance and minor works across a diverse portfolio of public assets. You will lead the scoping, planning and supervision of works while ensuring cost-effective delivery, compliance with safety standards and quality outcomes.
We're looking for a confident and technically capable professional with a trade background and experience delivering building projects in a government or similar environment. You'll combine hands-on knowledge of building services with strong coordination and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
* Supervise contractors and trade staff across maintenance and minor works projects
* Scope works, prepare estimates, and oversee tender and procurement processes
* Conduct WHS audits, plant and equipment checks, and ensure documentation compliance
* Administer contracts, manage project timelines and monitor service performance
* Perform high-quality condition assessments and deliver accurate asset reports
* Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to support effective project delivery
What We're Looking For :
* Building or construction trade background (highly desirable)
* Demonstrated experience in maintenance, construction or upgrade supervision
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and procurement processes
* Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and manage service frequencies
* Strong leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills
Other Requirements :
* Current White Card (WHS General Induction)
* Current Driver's Licence (essential for regional travel)
* Willingness to travel regionally with overnight stays (up to 4 nights) and occasional light aircraft travel
* National criminal history check clearance
