Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Officer to join our team. This is a full-time role with a 35-hour work week and one rostered day off every four weeks.
* This position will provide frontline IT support across the Council, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, telecommunications, and applications.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for managing helpdesk requests, assisting with hardware and software deployment, supporting remote access, and contributing to IT infrastructure maintenance and disaster recovery planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Certificate III in Information Technology
* Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar technical role
* C Class Drivers Licence
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to impart technical information to non-technical staff
* Demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Strong customer service skills
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant WHS training
