Health and Community Services Directorate Audit and Risk Management Committee is chaired by an independent external member whose role is to provide an independent perspective to the AHD Executive – our highest level of governance.
Health and Community Services Directorate Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC).
ARMC's role is to provide independent advice to the Director-General on financial and performance reporting responsibilities, risk oversight and management, and system of internal control.
Expressions of interest are being sought to fill an independent member vacant position.
Job Description: As an Independent Member of ARMC (external to ACT Government) you will play a pivotal role in providing effective oversight of ACTHD's systems of governance, internal control frameworks, risk management and financial reporting.
You should have relevant professional expertise and a keen interest in broader HCSD's strategic and operational activities.
You will be expected to work with a range of stakeholders within HCSD including the independent chair, independent external members, Director-General and Executive team, Head of Internal Audit, and Internal Audit function.
As a Member, it is crucial that you provide leadership, promote continuous improvement, make effective use of meeting time and resources, and oversee activities with consideration of broader HCSD governance functions (e.g., Executive Board and other relevant sub-committees).
