Our client, Pilatus Aircraft Australia is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Swiss‑based Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. and serves as the primary gateway for Pilatus aircraft in Australia and the surrounding region. Providing localised sales, support and training services that align with the organisation’s global mission to deliver innovative, high‑quality aircraft with world‑class customer care, Pilatus Aircraft Australia offers end‑to‑end services. In the business aviation unit this includes marketing, sales, delivery, support, maintenance and flight operations for their valuable PC‑12 and PC‑24 customers, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service. In the government aviation unit this covers delivery of engineering, logistics and maintenance support of both the Singaporean and Australian Air Forces who train their pilots on the world‑leading PC‑21 aircraft.
The outstanding opportunity is now available to an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to join the organisation at a pivotal time to lead the sales strategy and drive Pilatus’ presence and growth across Australia and New Zealand markets.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Sales is a key leadership position responsible for representing Pilatus’ world‑class PC‑12 and PC‑24 aircraft, building strong client relationships and shaping the future of aviation sales in the region. The Director of Sales will lead the identification of new business opportunities, negotiate purchase agreements and ensure seamless contract fulfilment, while planning and executing product demonstrations and prospective customer visits, and maintaining strong relationships post‑sale. With a focus on business development, the Director of Sales will lead the development and implementation of the sales strategy including associated reporting, manage Pilatus’ presence at industry events and collaborate with the global sales team in reinforcing the organisation’s reputation in the aviation sector.
Your demonstrated senior experience within a similar role, ideally within the aviation industry, will be paramount to your success in developing an intimate knowledge in all facets of the Pilatus PC‑12 and PC‑24 aircraft. Your success will be further complemented by your proven track‑record in creating and executing effective sales strategies and driving business growth. Strong analytical, organisational and strategic planning capabilities will further drive outcomes in this role, along with your exceptional relationship building and communication skills, strong negotiation and influencing capabilities and results‑driven mindset.
