About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Store Manager for our Wonthaggi Thrift Shop! You will provide lead operations of the Thrift Shop by ensuring quality customer service and upkeep of the shop. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering an inclusive culture and enhance customer experience of the store.
Responsibilities include
- Maximise sales through processing of donations to the store by receiving, sorting, pricing and disposal of non-saleable goods
- Delegate responsibility for collecting items to volunteers or manage collections during working hours
- Implement stock and mannequin rotation as well as stock management processes to ensure optimal store stock levels
- Deliver excellence in customer service by responding to customer needs, training staff in best practice customer service
- Implement appropriate retail sales opportunities internally and externally
- Administration of all levels of compliance and training of volunteers in the workplace
This is a permanent full-time position, based in Wonthaggi, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with General Retail Award Level 6.
You will have
- Demonstrated relevant retail industry experience as a store manager is desirable
- Experience in managing and leading effective teams
- Demonstrated skills and experience in cash handling, financial management and store operations (highly desirable)
- Completed or willingness to complete First Aid (PFA) training
- Prior experience in a charitable recycling retail operation highly regarded
- Current Drivers Licence
- A Current and Valid Employee Working with Children's Check
- Physical ability to safely sit, stand, walk regularly and for long periods of time
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift and carry items up to 10 kilos in weight
