Registered Nurse - Peri-Operative Post Graduate Student

Fixed Term Part Time
(64 hrs per fortnight)
We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses to undertake post graduate studies in Peri-Operative Nursing whilst working in our Operating Theatre. This temporary part time position is available from February 2024 and includes working a rotating 7 day roster including participation in an on-call roster. The successful applicant will deliver clinical patient care related activities in accordance with their clinical competence and multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
1. Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
2. Enrolment in Deakin University Graduate Certificate of Nursing Practice Peri-Operative
3. Knowledge and understanding of ACORN Standards for peri-operative nursing
4. Excellent Communication and problem solving skills
5. Commitment to continuous quality improvement
6. Proficiency in the use of information technology
7. Passionate about delivering outstanding patient centred care
8. Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
Desirable:
9. At least one year Registered Nurse experience
10. Have a desire and passion to forge a career in Peri-operative Nursing
