Glenella State School is seeking applications for a Teacher Aide. This position is offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.66FTE), 50 hours per fortnight. You will be driven to build a positive, welcoming, and supportive school culture and work collaboratively within a team to support high-quality educational outcomes for students. 
Glenella State School, established on 7 May 1879 and renamed in 1912, serves a growing inner suburb and provides programs for Prep to Year 6. We offer multi-age and straight-year classrooms with a focus on positive partnerships with the community and environmental education.

Your Responsibilities 
- Ability to work independently, design and conduct engaging playgroup activities and programs, consistently achieving positive outcomes 
- Foster a supportive and interactive setting, actively contribute to the community and build strong relationships 
- Ensure materials for activities are gathered, set up workspaces and coordinate activities 
- Assist in the supervision of educational activities under the direction of a teacher 
- Work with small groups and individual students, conduct and record intervention programs 
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate high interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member 
- Display respect and empathy for students with high-level needs 
- Clerical assistance and resourcing duties including duplicating/photocopying teaching materials and laminating 
- Experience with producing documents using Word, Canva 
- Provide first aid and support for medical needs as required, following school protocols 
- Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families 
- Assist with playground duties
