At Australian Venue Co., we operate some of Australia's most iconic pubs, bars and event spaces. Our venues host everything from corporate functions and brand activations to milestone celebrations and large-scale events.
Our Sales Team plays a critical role in supporting our venues by generating new business, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager based in our Perth office to drive new corporate opportunities and support revenue growth across our WA venue portfolio.
The Role
As our WA Business Development Manager, you will focus on building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, identifying new opportunities, and supporting our venues to secure function and event bookings.
You'll work closely with venue teams and our central sales function to showcase our venues, develop new client partnerships, and deliver outstanding event experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment, enjoys networking, and has a passion for hospitality and events.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management
* Identify and secure new corporate clients and event opportunities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts
* Work closely with venue teams to develop new business opportunities
* Showcase our venues through client tours, networking events and activations
* Maintain regular outreach to new and existing corporate clients
* Host venue showcases and attend industry networking events
* Prepare quotes, proposals, contracts and event documentation for clients
* Manage enquiries and sales activity through our event booking systems
* Work closely with venues to ensure seamless event delivery
* Support planning and execution of corporate events and campaigns
Revenue Growth
* Drive corporate event sales across the WA venue portfolio
* Achieve targeted new client acquisition and revenue goals
* Contribute to the overall WA sales pipeline and state revenue targets
Reporting
* Provide weekly reporting on sales activity and pipeline
* Track outreach, meetings and new business development activity
* Deliver accurate and timely sales reporting to management
We're looking for someone who is proactive, confident and relationship-driven.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, business development or account management
* Strong understanding of sales processes and pipeline management
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and event booking platforms
* A passion for hospitality, events and customer experience
Hospitality experience is highly regarded but not essential.
