Founding Board Members Kalamunda Lions Club Revitalisation

International Association of Lions Clubs District 201WA inc. – Forrestfield WA

The Lions Club of Kalamunda is entering an exciting revitalisation phase after more than 50 years of service in the Perth Hills. We are seeking expressions of interest from community-minded individuals to form a new Founding Board and help shape the next chapter of local Lions service.

This is a leadership opportunity to rebuild, grow and modernise a respected community organisation serving Kalamunda and surrounding suburbs (a 90,000+ resident catchment).

Responsibilities

* Attend regular club meetings
* Help guide club direction, strategy and governance
* Support planning and delivery of community projects and events
* Assist with member recruitment and community engagement
* Contribute to administration, communication or financial oversight (depending on officer role)
* Uphold Lions values and ethical standards
* Officer roles (President, Secretary, Treasurer) will be appointed from within the Founding Board group

Skills and Experience

* Leadership or governance
* Administration or organisational skills
* Finance or bookkeeping
* Community engagement
* Event coordination
* Strategic planning

You do not need prior Lions experience. Training, mentoring and ongoing support will be provided. A willingness to learn, collaborate and commit to a 12-month term is essential.

Lions Clubs International is the worlds largest service organisation, operating in over 200 countries. Lions are known for supporting local communities through projects focused on youth, seniors, health, disaster relief and community wellbeing.

The Kalamunda club has proudly served the Hills region for over 50 years. This revitalisation presents a rare opportunity to preserve that legacy while building a modern, sustainable club for the future.

Commitment & Membership

* Commitment to a minimum 12-month term
* Attendance at one or two meetings per month (approximately 2 hours each), with frequency to be decided collaboratively by the new Board
* Approximately 38 additional hours per month depending on role responsibilities
* Membership of the Lions Club is required (annual membership fee applies; a first-year subsidy may be discussed for suitable applicants)
* Willingness to complete induction and officer training
