Job Title:
A key role exists for a supply chain coordinator who will facilitate the effective management of materials flow, ensuring seamless and safe coordination of supply chain processes, material demand, and warehouse practices.
* Coordinate the materials planning process to meet project timelines.
* Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues related to material shortages or delays.
* Monitor inventory levels and assess supply chain performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare reports on material status and forecast potential supply chain disruptions.
* Develop short-term material distribution plans to deliver materials in accordance with project requirements.
* Establish effective relationships with stakeholders to support materials requirements.
* Support the supply chain team to ensure timely goods receipt, issuance, freight utilisation, stocktake compliance, and management of unplanned inventory movements.
About You:
* With extensive experience in rail operations and a strong background in materials management, you possess a practical understanding of keeping supply chains running smoothly.
* Excellent interpersonal skills enable clear cross-functional communication, and your ability to influence and negotiate allows you to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Substantial organisational skills to coordinate operations in a team environment.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise business processes.
* Understanding of the financial implications of inventory management.
* Willingness and ability to meet goals and implement change in a Warehouse environment.
* Certificate III in Warehousing; tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related disciplines are preferred.
* Experience with SAP and sound Microsoft skills.
* Sound Load restraint expertise or qualifications.
* High Risk Forklift and C class Drivers Licence.
* Sound knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and Risk Assessments including reviews.
