Senior Software Engineer (Open to remote locations across Australia)

Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality code in a timely manner and collaborate with engineering managers to design solutions.
* Provide technical leadership in an agile environment and support senior technical decision-making.
* Lead continuous improvement of technical delivery and agile processes, and contribute to team discussions and dynamics.
* Push technical standards and quality across the team.
* Lead or assist on technical work as a technical lead when required.
* Participate in design reviews and proofs of concepts.
* Mentor and coach colleagues and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
* Support deployments, QA, and level-3 support as part of an agile team when needed.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience with commercial software development.
* Excellent knowledge of web technologies HTML/CSS.
* Excellent knowledge and commercial experience with modern JavaScript, specifically React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, C#.
* Excellent knowledge and commercial experience with AWS solutions and environments (Node.js, CDK).
* Experience with Agile development methodology and practices such as TDD, Kanban, Shift Left, etc.
* Experience with our tech stack including AWS CDK, Lambdas, API Gateway, DynamoDB and EventBridge.
* Experience writing scalable, reusable UI components with tests.
* Commercial level experience with advanced coding techniques and practices.
* Application, memory and database profiling experience.
* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Extensive experience with unit testing and acceptance criteria frameworks.
* Advanced knowledge of relevant application architectures and frameworks.
* Significant experience in designing web-based, service-oriented applications.
* Experience designing, building and working with RESTful APIs.
* Experience with architectural design patterns and data modelling and design.
* Experience with distributed source control systems (Git and GitHub).
Desirable Experience
* Commercial experience working with containers such as Docker.
* Detailed knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Configuration Management.
* Experience working with Design Language Systems.
* Experience with API Design and using API management tools such as Apigee.
