Qualifications
* Degree in Accounting or similar discipline
* Minimum 4+ years' experience in end‐to‐end accounting
* Solid understanding of payroll processes and AASB accounting standards
* Strong Excel skills with a solid analytical mindset
* Effective time management and ability to meet competing priorities
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude
Responsibilities
* Manage end to end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis for approximately 50–60 staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Investigate payroll variances and provide clear, insightful commentary to support reporting and decision making
* Perform and review monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy
* Lead the end of month project invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing aligned with project progress and WIP
* Review project budgets against actuals, identify variances, and provide meaningful analysis and follow ups to support project performance
* Support month end close including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, write offs, and journal entries
* Oversee company credit card management, including reconciliations, follow ups, and investigation and resolution of queries and discrepancies
* Oversee and coordinate follow ups and escalations across accounts payable and receivable to support strong cash flow outcomes
* Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and drive continuous improvement across systems and workflows
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
* Provide proactive support to the Finance Manager and contribute to broader finance initiatives
* Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and business support as required
