The role
As a Retail Bakery Manager you'll lead our team of bakers who are responsible for the daily production of our serviced Bakery. Whilst being a trade qualified baker is an advantage, it is not necessary as we are ultimately looking for someone who is commercially minded, thrives working in a high-volume environment, has natural enthusiasm, is welcoming and engaging and has a strong passion for producing high quality baked goods in a retail environment.
Your key responsibilities
* Lead, coach, mentor and manage a team of dedicated bakers
* Inventory management, including placing orders, stocktake and building relationships with key supply partners
* Ensure production of high quality bread and bread rolls and take pride in every loaf of bread you deliver
* Manage KPI's such as gross profit, wages, shrinkage and markdowns
* Deliver exceptional customer service, our customers are at the heart of what we do
* Ensure a high standard of presentation and merchandising
* Maintain and abide by food safety and W,H & S policies and procedures
What you'll need to succeed
* Baking knowledge and retail bakery merchandising skills
* Previous management skills in leading a team of bakers and supporting them to hone their skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Well-developed customer service skills, wow our customers with your love for baking
* Proactive attitude with the ability to react and adapt quickly
* Strong communication skills
* Confident attitude with a respectful and warm approach
* The ability to work early mornings and at least one weekend day
