Work Recovery Specialist
Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Work Recovery Specialist to support injured or ill employees through their recovery process.
This role plays a critical part in managing WorkCover processes, ensuring compliance across multiple states and territories, and promoting safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
The key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end management of WorkCover processes.
* Maintaining accurate documentation across various databases and payroll systems.
* Liaising with injured workers, treating providers, case managers, and internal teams.
* Preparing weekly wage updates and monthly reimbursement invoices.
* Providing guidance and light training to branches (occasional interstate travel may be required).
* Supporting early intervention and promoting safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
* Identifying opportunities for process and system improvements.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Experience in workers compensation, injury management, or work recovery coordination.
* Strong understanding of WorkCover legislation across states/territories.
* Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to navigate sensitive situations.
* High attention to detail and strong administrative capability.
* Organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable working independently.
* Relevant work recovery or injury management qualifications are desirable.
