About Us
Fewster's Honey Farm, a family-owned and operated business since 1898, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Beekeeping Assistant to join our friendly team. Nestled in the serene countryside of Muchea, Western Australia, our farm has been producing prized honey since 1916.
Responsibilities
- Working with bee hives in the open forest
- Shifting bee hives
- Extracting honey
- Assisting in the preparation of bee hives
- Equipment manufacturing and/or assembly
Requirements
- Some experience and passion required.
- Must be able to work in the heat and be tolerant of the occasional bee sting.
- Occasional travel to different areas within the region where the bees are kept may be required. This may include several nights away from home.
- This role is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in entering the beekeeping industry.
Accommodation
We provide optional staff accommodation on our farm, offering a comfortable and peaceful living workplace in the countryside. Our brick and tile 4-bedroom farmhouse features your own bedroom and bathroom, with shared kitchen and living room facilities. Typically, you'll share the house with one or two other colleagues, but occasionally up to four. The house is fully air-conditioned and available for a minimal weekly fee.
