About the role
Operating within the Faculty of Education and Arts, the Deputy Dean, Global Engagement is a senior Faculty executive role responsible for leading and delivering the Faculty's global engagement and growth agenda, with a particular focus on transnational education, offshore delivery, strategic partnerships (including research‐based agreements), and global program development. The role is responsible for delivering against agreed Faculty global priorities within the context of ACU's University‐wide international and research strategies. This includes translating institutional global direction into Faculty‐ready, approved and sustainable outcomes, while recognising that ultimate accountability for Faculty targets rests with the Executive Dean.
The position operates with a dual line of sight to Faculty strategy and University strategy, including alignment with research priorities led through the DVCRE portfolio and the Graduate Research School. Working in close partnership with the Faculty Executive and the central Global Portfolio, the Deputy Dean ensures that global opportunities are governed through a performance‐focused operating model, delivering measurable enrolment, partnership and reputation outcomes while maintaining strong quality assurance, regulatory compliance and risk management.
The Deputy Dean contributes to the Faculty's academic leadership and culture, deputises for the Executive Dean as required, and maintains an active academic profile in teaching, research and service aligned to the Faculty's mission and ACU's commitment to global impact and human flourishing.
This opportunity comprises a temporary part‐time (.6 FTE) academic assignment of Deputy Dean, Global Engagement for a period of three (3) years, renewable based on performance and underpinned by a continuing academic E level appointment, dependent on the experience, expertise and capability of the successful candidate. The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching within their discipline.

* Total remuneration valued to $260,037 - $260,037 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $220,723 - $220,723 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The assignment of Deputy Dean, Global Engagement provides attracts a higher duties allowance of $27,500 per annum (pro rata).
* 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed‐term staff.
* Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
