Overview
Capagility Pty Ltd is seeking a driven and talented Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our dynamic team. As an Aerospace Propulsion Graduate, you will work alongside experienced propulsion system specialists, providing expert advice to both Defence and commercial aerospace clients. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced engine fleet management optimisation tools, support life cycle cost modelling, and participate in high-level technical reviews.
Responsibilities
Analysing spare engine requirements for new aircraft fleets
Life Cycle Cost modelling of sustainment costs for recent and existing aerospace propulsion system fleets
Developing engine support arrangements (new contracts, extensions)
Evaluating engine sustainment proposals (new, extensions) for suitability & value for money
Improving fleet management to enhance fleet availability and/or reduce support costs
Enhancing engagement between clients and their Industry partners
Supporting exploration of enhanced sovereign propulsion system support for Australia
Location:
The Aerospace Propulsion Consultant would mostly work from home/remotely. However, occasional travel may be required, Sydney or Newcastle, desirable.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Highly proficient in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Excel, with demonstrated ability.
Australian Citizen and is authorised to work in Australia.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
Familiarity with, or a solid interest in, gas turbine engines and aerospace propulsion systems from both a technical and commercial perspective.
Experience with additional programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, Python, C++).
Exposure to defence, aerospace, or high-technology industries.
Experience with data analysis, simulation, or engine performance modelling.
