A fantastic opportunity exists to join the group in the capacity of Banquet Chef. This role will report to the Head Banquet Chef. Our new state-of-the-art, purpose-built Event Centre is the largest event venue in Southern Sydney. Our Event Centre provides the perfect space for your corporate or social function - Southern Sydney Events Centre.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:
* Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards.
* Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas.
* Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be.
* Follow policies and procedures at all times.
* Maintain strong relations, internally and externally.
* Consistently deliver high-quality meals.
* Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order.
* Follow WH&S compliance at all times.
Here is what we are looking for in the right candidate:
* Have a high level of personal morale and appearance.
* A positive attitude and willingness to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, productivity and effectiveness
* Food Handling Certificate.
* 7 day availability across a rotating roster.
* Previous experience in large functions.
* Tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent experience in a similar role with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
