Service Desk Lead

1.0 FTE – Full time, ongoing.

Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) is seeking an experienced Service Desk Lead to oversee the delivery of high‐quality ICT services that directly support student learning and the smooth operation of our schools.

About The Role

The Service Desk Lead is accountable for the effective, efficient and responsible management of School ICT services across CET. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will apply your deep technical knowledge and leadership capability to ensure ICT systems, support processes and service delivery meet the needs of staff and students. You will play a key role in managing policy, compliance and risk while driving continuous improvement in service quality, responsiveness and user experience.

You'll be responsible for

* Establishing operating plans that align ICT services with the business and learning and teaching programs defined in Schools' strategic plans.
* Managing the implementation of the ICT operational plan and ensuring consistent, seamless ICT service provision and technical support.
* Establishing procedures and overseeing the delivery of effective technical support for all users, such as the Help Desk.
* Overseeing the administration and operation of the ICT Service Desk.
* Planning, testing, implementing and reviewing program or infrastructure upgrades and ensuring users are informed of any service impact.
* Providing advice to the Manager, Client Services regarding significant program or infrastructure projects and supporting the ICT Service Desk.
* Liaising with senior staff to ensure that TCEO and School ICT policy and procedures support organisational standards and the School business and learning and teaching programs in areas such as acceptable use, cybersafety and social media.

* Excellent time‐management and organisational abilities.
* Highly effective administrative and decision‐making skills that demonstrate clarity, competence and a collaborative approach.
* Able to apply high‐level communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
* Proficiency using ICT, particularly Microsoft Office, Google Suites and Atlassian.
* A Diploma in ICT or equivalent.
