About the role

As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist you will manage a caseload and deliver a broad range of evidence‐informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to improve communication and participation in social and educational settings for children.

Your responsibilities include:

* Conducting face‐to‐face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools, kindergartens and our therapy spaces.
* Collaborating with a trans‐disciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans.
* Providing key worker support and advice to families and children on speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.
* Delivering discipline‐specific assessment and intervention for children aged 0‐9 years and their families with a range of disabilities.

You are confident, enthusiastic and self‐motivated, capable of working independently to meet targets while thriving in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment.

Key selection criteria

* Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Minimum 3 years experience managing, supervising and leading staff.
* Minimum 5 years discipline‐specific clinical experience, with sound theoretical knowledge in paediatric practice (0‐9 years).
* The ability to meet the service‐delivery requirement of 4 hours/day with a consumer‐focused, high‐quality service.
* Knowledge and experience assessing children from 0 to 9 with a variety of clinical and developmental needs.
* Experience in prescribing assistive technology.
* Willingness to obtain Medicare Provider Registration.
* Proficient in ICT for telehealth, case‐note documentation and online learning modules.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support others in meeting KPIs.
* Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families and the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
* Open to continuous quality improvement and ongoing learning as part of a high‐performing team.
* Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible practices.
* Willingness to undertake relevant pre‐employment screening and checks – NDIS worker screening, police check, pre‐employment medical and working with children's check.
* Right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident or visa holder with full working rights).
