This role is a professional opportunity within our International Government team.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to provide networking and satellite communications solutions concepts, detailed solutions designs, systems integration, maintenance program development and training solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing satellite solutions and be self-sufficient with excellent engineering skills.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all requirements and dependencies of tasks allocated to them, developing solutions to meet specific customer requirements, collaborating with functional teams, and providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
Responsibilities:
* Provide timely and insightful technical input into the preparation of tender responses
* Develop satellite solutions designs and provide expertise to clients in support of sales teams
* Provide senior engineering level support to the ongoing operations of the GX VAR
* Specification, documentation and implementation of hardware solutions for mobile and fixed satellite services
* Development and build of customer solutions prior to handing over to the operations team
* Specification, documentation and implementation of hardware solutions for IP networking over satellite
Requirements:
* Must hold a relevant engineering degree with demonstrated ability in the satellite communications industry
* Must be an Australian Citizen capable of achieving a Defence Clearance
* Must have demonstrable experience in developing solutions in a pre-sales environment
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in IT particularly as it applies to satellite communications and networking
* Proficient in the development of maintenance documentation and support programmes
* Experiance of ILS systems particularly as they relate to ASDEFCON
