WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Tyre Fitter at Norton Gold Fields, you are responsible for managing the tyre maintenance of all rubber tyre vehicles in the Open Pit department. Responsible for checking tyre pressures, tread depths and general running conditions on the sites. Responsible for maintaining a sufficient number of spare wheels made up and ready to fit.
Conduct regular inspections of work areas for hazards, damage, and defects.
Weekly inspections of tools to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Perform planned maintenance on open pit fleet tyres and assist with HME fleet repairs as needed.
Regularly inspect tools and equipment for proper functionality.
Responsible allocation of parts to work orders.
Review work tasks for improvement opportunities.
Maintain open communication with supervisors.
Maintain tyre fitting records and rim register in the CMMS.
Weekly inspections of HME tyres, monitoring wear rates, tread depths, and air pressures.
Ensure adequate stock of tyres and consumables.
Perform any other required tasks to support operations.
ABOUT YOU
At least 1 year of Tyre Fitter experience or similar. (Essential)
Trade qualified with AUR21920 – Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology, up to Cert VI or equivalent. (Essential)
Previous experience with CMMS, tyre management programs or similar software (Essential).
Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "HR" Driver's Licence (Essential).
Strong commitment to safety and team player.
Good understanding of the following machines:
CAT 777F, 789D, 775F Trucks
CAT 16M, 18M Graders
