About This Opportunity
Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) is seeking a motivated, organised and customer‐focused Administration Assistant for a fixed‐term position (through 31December2027) at a Level4 salary. The role is part‐time (25hoursperweek, Monday–Friday, 8am–1pm) at SQRH Charleville, with occasional travel to other campuses. The position reports to the Deputy Director SouthWest and involves providing high‐level administrative and reception support to staff, students and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to staff in line with university protocols.
- Organise and support routine events, meetings and activities.
- Facilitate efficient day‐to‐day office procedures and operations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, answering queries and providing advice.
- Use desktop‐based applications and management information systems.
- Maintain quality assurance systems and processes.
- Support relevant projects with administrative tasks.
- Perform office reception duties, welcoming and briefing visitors.
- Coordinate committee and meeting activities, including room booking, scheduling, taking minutes and organising travel.
- Administer financial matters such as reimbursements and other expenses in accordance with university financial policy.
About You
- CertificateIV or Diploma of Office Administration, or CertificateIII with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of work experience and training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of customer service skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,Excel,PowerPoint,Teams,Outlook) and Zoom.
- Effective organisational, time‐management and problem‐solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
