Moneycare is The Salvation Army's national financial counselling service—and one of Australia's most trusted. We walk alongside people facing financial stress, providing the tools, support, and confidence they need to rebuild.

What You'll Do
Step into a role where your expertise genuinely changes lives. As a Moneycare Financial Counsellor, you'll guide people through financial hardship, help them understand their options, and empower them to regain control. You'll also deliver group education that builds financial capability across the community.

Your Impact:
Provide one‑on‑one financial counselling that's practical, empowering, and person‑centred
Deliver engaging community education sessions that build financial confidence
Manage client cases with care, clarity, and professionalism
Build strong partnerships with community organisations, government services, and financial institutions
Work confidently within legislation, guidelines, and Moneycare's evidence‑based practice

What You'll Bring
You're someone who blends technical skill with genuine empathy. You can sit with people in tough moments, help them make sense of their situation, and support them to move forward with dignity.

You'll Need:
Accredited Financial Counsellor (or working towards)
Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling)
FCQ membership (or eligibility)
Problem Gambling skill set (or willingness to complete training)
Strong financial literacy, negotiation, and money‑management skills
At least 12 months' experience in financial counselling, community services, or a related field
Experience with counselling frameworks (highly regarded)
Current Driver Licence
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
