About the role
Our client is a trusted provider of finance to business equipment and technology solutions companies for over 15 years. Due to their expansion, they are seeking inexperienced Credit Analyst to join their dynamic Business Equipment Finance team in their Alexandria/Zetland office.
This full-time role will see you playing a key part in supporting the growth and strategic objectives of their business finance operations. This role requires a strong analytical ability, sound decision making and excellent interpersonal skills.
A solid understanding of credit risk and the ability to maintain exposures with policy guidelines are essential. There will also be further opportunities for growth into management and development roles.
What you'll be doing
* Analysing credit applications and financial information for business equipment finance proposals
* Conducting thorough risk assessments and providing recommendations on credit decisions
* Maintaining a strong understanding of credit policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
* Building and nurturing relationships with customers, brokers and other stakeholders
* Collaborating with the wider team to identify new business opportunities
* Providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the credit approval process
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in credit analysis
* Equipment finance industry experience is essential for this credit analysis position
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess credit risk
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders
* Proficient in credit assessment, financial modelling and data analysis
* Advanced Excel skills are required for financial modelling and data analysis
* Keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
* Thorough understanding of credit policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
