**About the Role**

As a House Supervisor in our Out of Home Residential Care program, you'll lead a dedicated team in a residential setting that provides intensive, trauma-informed support to a young person with significant and complex needs.

You'll play a key leadership role, guiding day-to-day practice, supporting staff on shift, and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. With 3 admin days per fortnight, you'll also have the time and space to focus on planning, documentation, staff support, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with Therapeutic Specialists, and Case Management teams, you'll ensure that care aligns with the young person's individual therapeutic needs, while building a strong and supportive team culture.

**This is a Full-time 38 hours per week opportunity based in Canberra within our ACT Residential Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Out of Home Care Coordinator**

**About You**
- You're an experienced practitioner and team leader with a calm and resilient presence. You thrive in structured, high needs environments and understand the importance of balancing hands on support with behind the scenes planning and coordination.
- Strong leadership experience in residential or intensive support settings
- Deep understanding of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic frameworks
- Ability to support staff and respond effectively in crisis or high-pressure situations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience working with young people with complex behavioural need
- Commitment to reflective practice and staff development

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience working with children or young people with complex trauma
- Experience leading or supervising teams in a care or support setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic models such as TCI, Sanctuary, attachment theory, or neurodevelopmental approaches
- Ability to coordinate staff schedules, ensure compliance, and manage house operations
- Proven ability to foster a positive, accountable, and learning-focused team culture

- SCHADS Level 5 hourly rate: $49.28 - $51.51, based on qualifications and experience
