Finance Officer (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Bundall, Gold Coast | Start: ASAP
We’re looking for a capable and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will support the Finance Manager across day-to-day finance operations and help ensure accuracy, timeliness and control across core financial processes.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, responsive and comfortable working across both transactional and financial support activities.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and broader team to support financial operations, reporting and coordination with key service providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment to budget
* Process accounts payable, including invoice coding, matching and payments
* Liaise with third-party providers and managed service partners (e.g. payroll, accounting support)
* Assist with financial accounting activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
* Support month-end processes and reporting timelines
* Contribute to management reporting, including data preparation and basic analysis
* Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
* Assist with continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
About You
You’re reliable, detail-focused and take ownership of your work. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also understanding how your work feeds into broader financial outcomes.
* Experience in a Finance Officer or similar role
* Strong accounts payable and purchase order experience
* Understanding of financial accounting concepts (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
* Experience working with finance systems (e.g. Xero or similar)
* Confidence working with external providers and stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Practical, solutions-focused approach
