Job Description
* Lead the development and implementation of workplace health and safety (WHS) strategies.
* Drive the integration of a WHS Business Partnering model across multiple operational verticals.
* Oversee risk management initiatives and implement preventative measures.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on WHS matters.
* Lead the implementation and management of safety initiatives across the business.
* Monitor and report on WHS performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
* Develop safety capability across functional leadership teams.
* Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and embed safety strategy.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful GM Of WHS Should Have
* Minimum of Diploma level qualification in WHS
* Extensive Safety leadership experience in a heavy industrial, resources or utilities environment
* Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and best practices in Australia.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to develop and implement effective safety strategies.
* Excellent abilities to influence across business lines and develop productive relationships at all levels of an organisation
