About the role
As part of the Victorian Government's response to recommendations from the Great Outdoors Taskforce and the Eminent Panel for Community Engagement, the District Forest and Fire Planning Officer will manage or support the delivery of forest recreation and tourism investment within their District.
Responsibilities
The focus of this position will be to support planning and delivery of forest recreation maintenance and improvement programs to ensure high quality forest recreation sites, tracks, trails and facilities are made available to visitors. This position will work closely with District, Regional and Statewide teams to ensure planning and delivery is informed by local knowledge and aligns with strategic priorities.
Specialist / Technical Expertise & Qualifications
* Knowledge and/or relevant experience in the planning and delivery of forest recreation asset maintenance and improvement programs (or similar) is desirable.
* Procurement and/or contractor management experience is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June ****. The work location for this position is flexible within the Goulburn District (part of the Hume Region) with hybrid work arrangements available.
